New York City

New York has always been one of my favourite cities to visit. Every corner feels alive with art, culture, hospitality, and an ever-evolving design scene that constantly pushes boundaries. Each visit leaves me feeling creatively recharged and deeply inspired. During these NYC trips I’ve had, I captured moments that reflect the city’s vibrant energy and quiet beauty—here are some of my favourite photographs from my time in New York.

Brooklyn Bridge

This is a view of the Brooklyn Bridge that I captured from DUMBO, Brooklyn. The second photo is a nighttime shot taken from Harriet’s Rooftop, where you get a stunning view of both Manhattan and Brooklyn. It’s a great spot to enjoy cocktails and small bites while taking in the scenery!

SoHo

SoHo is one of New York’s most charming neighbourhoods, known for its cast-iron buildings, cobblestone streets, and effortlessly chic atmosphere. The area blends luxury boutiques, art galleries, and trendy cafés, making it a perfect place to wander and discover something new at every corner. Its creative energy is undeniable—whether you’re shopping, gallery-hopping, or simply people-watching, SoHo always offers a dose of inspiration.

The High Line

The High Line is one of New York City’s most unique urban parks, built on an elevated historic railway that now runs above the West Side. Lined with lush gardens, art installations, and stunning views of the Hudson River and cityscape, it offers a peaceful escape from the busy streets below. Walking the High Line feels like moving through a curated blend of nature, design, and architecture—perfect for slow strolls, photography, and enjoying the city from a fresh perspective.

The Vessel

The Vessel in NYC is a striking honeycomb-like landmark rising from Hudson Yards, designed to invite exploration and new perspectives. Its interconnected stairways and platforms spiral upward, offering layered views of the city and the Hudson River. More than just an architectural centerpiece, The Vessel creates an interactive experience—encouraging visitors to move, climb, and engage with the surrounding urban landscape in a playful, sculptural way.

Arlo Williamsburg

The views from the Arlo Williamsburg rooftop are nothing short of breathtaking. From the moment you step outside, the Manhattan/Brooklyn skyline stretches before you—glittering towers, bridges, and the soft shimmer of the East River all coming together in one cinematic frame. The rooftop feels elevated yet intimate, offering a perfect balance of energy and calm as the city unfolds in every direction. Whether you’re there for sunset hues or the glow of night lights, the perspective from Arlo Williamsburg makes you appreciate New York’s beauty from a whole new angle.

New York City: Arts & Culture

New York’s art and culture scene is unlike anywhere else—vibrant, experimental, and constantly in motion. The city thrives on creativity, from world-class museums and independent galleries to underground studios, cultural hubs, and unexpected public art. Every neighborhood tells its own story, shaped by diverse communities and a deep history of artistic innovation. During my visit, I found myself endlessly inspired by the people, spaces, and ideas that make New York a living canvas. Here’s a glimpse into the art and culture moments that stood out most.

Noguchi Museum

The Noguchi Museum offers a serene and beautifully curated space that reflects Isamu Noguchi’s lifelong exploration of form, light, and material. During my visit, the highlight was Toshiko Takaezu’s exhibition, which complemented Noguchi’s work with her organic, sculptural vessels and expressive glazes. Her pieces felt deeply meditative—quiet yet powerful—echoing the museum’s calm, architectural flow. Together, Noguchi and Takaezu’s works created a poetic dialogue between sculpture and craft, making the experience both grounding and inspiring.

Tribeca

Tribeca is one of New York’s most sophisticated and quietly stylish neighbourhoods, known for its historic industrial buildings, upscale dining, the HBO show Sex in the City (known as Carrie Bradshaw’s Neighborhood), and calm, spacious streets. The area blends old-world charm with modern luxury—think loft-style architecture, artful storefronts, and cozy cafés tucked between beautifully preserved warehouses. Walking through Tribeca feels slower and more refined than many parts of Manhattan, making it the perfect place to explore, enjoy art, good food, and take in the understated elegance of the city.

Canal Projects

Canal Projects is a contemporary art space dedicated to supporting experimental and boundary-pushing work from emerging and international artists. Tucked along Canal Street, the space feels intimate yet forward-thinking, offering thoughtful exhibitions, performances, and public programs. Visiting Canal Projects feels like stepping into a pocket of fresh ideas—an inspiring stop for anyone interested in today’s evolving art landscape.

SeaGlass Carousel

The SeaGlass Carousel in Battery Park is a whimsical, immersive ride that feels like stepping into an underwater dream. Instead of traditional seats, you glide inside glowing, fish-shaped sculptures that light up and swirl in soft, shifting colors. The experience is gentle, magical, and beautifully designed—perfect for kids, families, or anyone who appreciates a bit of artful fantasy in the middle of the city.

Ace Hotel New York.

My stay at Ace Hotel New York felt quietly cinematic, defined by its dim, moody atmosphere and effortless sense of cool. Evenings settled into the soft glow of the lobby, where the vintage photo booth added a playful, nostalgic touch. Mornings were nice and slower, marked by a slice of their warm carrot bread- comforting, subtly spiced, and the perfect contrast to the city’s constant motion just outside.
